Matt Paull: Hand lettering
I grew up in the analog era — sketchbooks, markers and the kind of hand lettering that used to cover the bottom of every skateboard deck in the 90s. Santa Cruz, Powell Peralta, Vision — that world shaped how I think about type and craft before I ever touched a computer.
This piece is personal. My name, my hand, my aesthetic. A nod to that 90s skate art DNA — bold, raw, slightly unhinged — built the way it should be. Pencil first, then developed and refined in Illustrator as vector art.
No AI. No shortcuts. Just the analog era refusing to die.
